Cancelled Plans
I was suppose to go on a road trip today to the equivalent of a state park and officially start my photography project. There are some ruins of two monasteries and some spectacular waterfalls, supposedly. Alas, it´s pouring down and the wind is gusting at gail force. It´s a rainy day to say the least. Somewhere in the back of my mind, there should be a list of things that I saved to do on a rainy day. I just can´t seem to find it.
My teammates have all seemed to adapt well to life in Santiago, which is good because we are then able to be more independent and forge our own paths into the Gallician culture. It´s also bad because we are more independent and have forged our own paths into Gallician culture. Hence, I have no idea where the rest of my teammates are today. I guess I´ll have to make my own alternative plans, which is probably good for me.
I FINALLY moved into my permanent housing last Thursday. It´s in an apartment building that´s about as down hill as you can get in Santiago. :( But I do have three genuine Gallego flatmates. :) One of which is normal, another is a heavy medal anarchist, and the third I still haven´t met because he is alway asleep in his room.
Actually, they are nice guys and we seem to be getting along. I just haven´t had an opportunity to spend much time with them as of yet. I hope to be able to build some genuine friendships here.
